While the Ponies are out fighting in the Empire to stop the Gaia Cannon from firing, We take a quick look at how Luretta and CC are doing along the horizon of the peaceful palace of the Sunlit Ruins.
This area--Although a once lost civilization that underwent destruction by the ancient powers of a relic that defied time and space--It's ruins still remain as a historical monument.
The peaceful sounds of birds singing, The small sounds of water roaring within a stream--Some among waterfalls between two pillars of ruins.
Flowers blossomed. The Skies as clear as crystal blue. The grass--As green as a holy promise land. Butterflies even flew by on occasion. 
Luretta: [Action: She sits down over the hill.]
Explosions parade over the far off horizon and continue to boom. From

Episode 89: Backdraft

[Domain of the Shadow Colossus ~ 11:39 PM]

Esuna: "Lynn! Stop this!"

Lynn: [Action: Casts a powerful arcane spell on the ancient war weapon known as: Shadow Colossus]
"You foolish ponies may have defeated Sin, May have even broken passed my spell, But you will die before I let you live!"

Esuna: "...I don't want to have to...But you are leaving me with no other choice! Sister, I beg of you! Please!"

Lynn: "Beg all you want. When I was suffering and begging for help, No one helped me. I was instead betrayed and sealed away in this Time-Forsaken place! So how dare you tell me what I should do and what I should not do! HOW DARE YOU!!"

Esuna: "Where is this doubt coming from?! Why are you being like this?! I won't let you! I won't let you be a mindless puppet slave to the Darkness."

Lynn: "Oh really? Is that why you've been following me?! You fool! I've lived in the blinded light of Harmony before where it has been for the longest time EVERY PONY FOR THEMSELVES. The Darkness guides me. I will be with the darkness...Eternally!"

Esuna: "No...!"

Lynn: "You are not my Sister. No matter how many tears you shed, It will not bring me back into your light. The Shadow Colossus will be the breaking away of a new dawn. Harmony will be drained from this world. Soon. Dark Equestria will rise."

Esuna: [Action: Casts the Ensealment spell]
"...Great Goddess Gaia, The Protector of the Elements...Guide this poor lost soul back into the light. They who have lost reason, Give them purpose. They who have lost the will to endure, Give them Perseverance...They who have lost the will to look ever again at the light, Guide them so that they may find Salvation...Bestow upon this one: This path of darkness they tread; Show them where it leads..." 

Esuna's eyes glow white. She fires the spell at Lynn. Lynn forms a barrier of Darkness around herself, But the spell pierces the barrier and hits her, Knocking her scepter out of her hooves.

Lynn: "WHHHHYYYY!!!!!"
[Action: Is sealed away in the power of Holy Magic by an ancient goddess]

Esuna turned away, "I'm sorry that things had to be this way...Maybe someday, You'll return as a better pony..." With that, She teleports away.

[Aegis Empire ~ Area 10]

The Ponies continuously trot to dodge fiery debris falling from the effects of torched buildings, Sharp needle water produced by Droplet's destructive water nature followed by also Tectonic who continue to shake things up.

The Goops did not do well to being played with like mere pets. The Frustration and rage was only building up with them.

Snow Quartz summons a magical hand and balls it up into a fist. She throws it at the Air Ships in the sky that continued to also fire gunner bullets down at them.

The Gate was up ahead. But also up ahead of them was something else.

Sarah: "All Earth Ponies, We'll cover the ground. Applejack!"

The Imperials gather around up ahead.

Applejack: "I gotcha. Let's round em' up!"

Chrysenia: [Action: Leers at Moonlight Havoc suspiciously]
("I don't trust teaming up with this guy. Something's gotta give!")

Pup: [Action: Dives into Moonlight Havoc's head]
("Why are you teaming up with them? What purpose does peace bring to you? It brings nothing. You will only have your back turned on you. Why not turn on them first? Follow down your own path rather than theirs? Cause some havoc. That is what you do, isn't it, Moonlight Havoc?")

Moonlight Havoc: [Action: His eyes glow yellow once more]
"...I will not...let harmony rule my life. I...Will...Reign...SUPREME!!!"

Moonlight Havoc suddenly fires a blistering blast from his horn into the skies. The Blast scatters into thousands of beams at once firing down on the ponies.

Twilight: ?!

Aileen: "Shoot! A Turncoat?!"

Vanilla Frost: "Moonlight, Stop!!"

Moonlight Havoc turns to Vanilla Frost, Levitates her up by the neck with his magic forcefully and is about to snap her neck when--Rainbow Dash tackles him down in Super Rainbow Dash form (White Coat, Red Eyes, Prismatic Mane/Tail)

Rainbow Dash knocks Moonlight Havoc out of concentration.

Midnight Stardust, Cupcake Chaos and Auron Darkstar all three watch in complete confusion.

Pup of course being one to take advantage of the Chaos gets to them.

To Midnight Stardust...
("Your Leader's path has been chosen. What will you do? Follow him or go against him?")

Midnight Stardust turns to Rainbow Dash and immediately starts firing his black stardust magic at her, Nullifying her Harmony's Light, Returning her back to her normal form. The Light Blue Pegasus now lacked power but more than made up for that with her speed.

Applejack: "Altogether now! and BUCK!"

The Earth Ponies all work together with Applejack to try and kick down the Area 10 Gate leading to Area 11.

Galeshine: "Silver. Moon. Koi. Do either one of you know what's going on?"

Silver: "Not a clue, But if Moonlight is going against us, He is on the wrong side."

Moon: "Not this again..."

Silver: "By having ME as his enemy, He will not get far."

Koi: "He's not the concern right now. How about we deal with him later and focus on what we came here to do? If he's deciding against us, That's on him."

Moon: "So, We ignore the fact that he's trying to attack us or do we attack back?"

Sorrow: "Moonlight Havoc is not himself. Katziel, May we leave his fate in your hooves?"

Katziel: "Of course. As for his minions..."

Silver: "Leave his minions to ME! I want in on this!"

Moon/Koi/Galeshine/Sorrow/Katziel: "Go for it, Silver."

Silver: "Alright!"

Setsuna: "Silvie, This way!"

Silver: "Be right there, Setsuna!"

Moon: "Why do we put up with her?"

Galeshine: "She's a friend. Friends put up with friends."

Moon: "...The task at hoof."

Galeshine: "Oh, Right."

Katziel: [Action: Approaches Moonlight Havoc under the Warzone]

Galeshine: "Applejack's group is trying to kick down the gates. We should take care of the rest of the imperials."

Moon: "Remind me again why I'm so important for this?"

Galeshine: "Because, You're not afraid to be yourself. Go with Rose Blade. Koi!"

Koi: [Action: Goofy Smile] "Wassup?"

Galeshine: "Help us out with the Water out here. It's hard to move around."

Koi: "It's quite handy being a Water Pony...Wouldn't you say, Snow Quartz?"

Snow Quartz: [Action: Smirks. Brings her Magical Hand over and commands it to grab Koi]

Snow Quartz: "You have a plan with that goofy smile of yours, Dork?

Koi: "That's PRINCE Dork!" [Action: Closes his eyes]

Snow Quartz: "Sorrow?"

Sorrow: "Do it, Snow Quartz. Let Koi prove his Perseverance right here and right now."

Snow Quartz: "Alright. Here goes." [Action: Commands the hand to clench the hand into a fist. At first, It is quiet. But then, A Bright Blue bubble shines lights from out of the hand, causing it to explode from the sudden colossal rage]

Koi emerges from the bubble with his Water Blade clenched in his teeth. His eyes are black. An Amulet with a Beast Mark Symbol flails around his neck--The same as his newly formed cutie mark brand. He goes berserk. His desire to protect the weak and endure the conflicts to come drives him into the fray. Imperial Ponies come at him to test his might. Absorbing the water around him from Droplet's powers to manipulate the water and bend it to her will, He Slashes, Spins around and hacks through the area like a wild shark. Unstoppable at the force, He turns to Linear as well as the others.

Katziel meanwhile approaches Moonlight Havoc...

Katziel: "It is a shame for such talent such as yours to be wasted."

Moonlight Havoc: "You're nothing but a worthless speck of dust. Move aside or I'll move you myself!"

Katziel: "This is your last chance. Come back to us or I will be forced to subdue you. This is not a threat. This is a Promise."

Moonlight Havoc: "......"

Pup: ("Don't give into that. Are you really going to take that? You can fight him. He's weaker than you.")

Applejack: [Action: Panting] "Haa...One more round should do it. Keep it goin'!"

Sarah: "One..."

Applejack: "Two..."

Earth Ponies: "THREE!!"
[Action: They all kick at once against the gate.]

THWAAAAAM!!!

The sound of a powerful Thunder Clap Roared across the area from the powerful kick of all Earth Ponies working together to form up a single powerful Godly Kick.

But even that wasn't enough to open the Gate.

Applejack: "Ah Ain't Givin' up!"

Applebloom: "We CAN do this, AJ!"

Plum: "We ain't get all the way out here just to up an quit! It AIN'T OVER TIL' IT'S OVER!!"

Viral: "Try one more time."

Aile: "What if...Magic!"

Viral: ?

Applejack: "Now hold on ere', Missy! Earth Ponies have hooves of Iron!"

Plum: "They dun call us "Iron Ponies" Fer nuthin'."

Viral: "Well then. Clones! To your posts! Viral Clone numbers 1 through 302864492940829038940! It's time to melt some walls!!"

Plum: o.O

Applejack: "What in Tarnation?!"

Twilight: "Um...I don't think that's mathematically even a number."

Rarity: "At this point, Where is logic anymore?"

Pinkie Pie: [Action: Squeezes through the gate, defying natural physics]

Twilight: o.o "No where to be found...with Pinkie here, Forget Physics."

Moon returned to Rose Blade's side while continuing to fight off Imperials while at the same time, dodging elemental debris.

The Stronger Goop of the bunch: Tectonic, The Earth Goop didn't take to being "Tamed" So to speak. However, With Shylight being protected by White Shadow, He had been convinced that in order to make their new home, They needed to take care of what would be a threat to their home. To do so, Cooperation was needed. Shylight made sure of that. There were no shock collars around their necks to tell them what to do or to work them around like slaves. They weren't driven by emotion.

He points a hoof forward causing a huge fissure to divide the area in half.

Linear put up a huge barrier--An Ancient Wall of Magic guided by the light of her Radiant Element: Salvation. This formed up to protect the Earth Ponies while they continued to try and kick down the gate while at the same time, repelling the Imperials away.

Silver meanwhile took on Midnight Stardust, Auron Darkstar and Cupcake Chaos alone and by herself...That is until--

Ayori: "Out of the way, Scrub. Make way for a REAL Princess."

Silver: "Ayori, This is MY fight!"

Ayori: "Come now. We are on the same side." [Action: Summons Skeleponies up from the dead to attack the Imperial Ponies about to attack Silver and Setsuna from behind.]

Silver: "Setsuna!"

Setsuna: "Just as we practiced, Silver."

Silver builds up speed while Setsuna vanishes into his Silver Wind technique.

As everything is happening all around them in this warzone collects, The backdraft only gets worse...

All at the same time, Viral's clones dealt corrosive level damage to the gate, Smelting away at its' defenses that were holding it up.

Applejack and the Earth Ponies once again charged the gate under the protection of Linear's barrier...

One kick from every earth pony there all at the same time completely knocked the walls down thanks to being weakened up by Viral's acid.

Aileen: "The way to Area 11 is open. Let's hurry!"

Moon manages to tackle down an Imperial aiming for the Orchid Sisters' Tail. She pins them down against the ground and bites hard at his neck. As a pony that likes to hunt in the wild periodically, This was a stable killing technique for her.

Galeshine swoops in towards Moon just in time for Silver and Setsuna to pull off a really hard co-op technique they had been practicing on.

Silver performs a Sonic Ice-Boom in the sky, causing it to snow and the skies to paint from lavender to gray within moments.

Rising Water Pillars sprang up left and right from fire hydrants which only served to power up Koi further, strengthening his endurance and speed.

Linear: "Koi, Let's go!"

Koi: [Action: He hears Linear's warm and soothing voice. He begins to calm down. His eyes returning back to normal]

Koi: "Coming!"

Meanwhile, Katziel had purple orbs already planted across more than one section of the empire. The purple, Dark matter magic surrounded him in an aurora of heavy armor.

Moonlight had fired a powerful blast at Katziel from his horn so, Katziel returned fire with a powerful blast of his own from his horn.

Up ahead, Ponies proceeded to Area 11.

Katziel: "I believe this is Check-Mate."
[Action: He pushes out more magic. So much that a Dark Matter cube surrounds Moonlight until only his head is left]

Moonlight: [Action: Teleports behind Katziel to escape certain doom.]

However...

Katziel had planned a Purple Orb above him, Unseen in the clouds in case this moment were to ever occur.

He releases the high density orb from above. It is heavy with high level bone crushing power.

Moonlight sees it drop above him at the last second and tries to levitate it.

Finally, Wrath steps in with his Gravity Magic, Pointing a hoof at the High Density Orb. He turns to Moonlight Havoc,
"Do you have a life wish or a death wish? Pick one. It may be your last words."

Moonlight turns to Wrath, "Why are you teaming up with these savages? Wasn't your goal World Domination before all of this?!"

Wrath moves the High Density Orb closer to Moonlight's head, "I have my one reason and that reason alone is all I need. This is not about you nor is it about me anymore. If that Gaia Cannon fired while I was still evil, There would be no places left to conquer because they would all be wiped clean off of the map. The sentiments of a world apocalypse don't phase me. I saw what those ponies of unique special talents were capable of. Facing all of that would only ensure my demise. I don't take the value of having a life lightly. Especially, While those that continue to evil continue in their own foolish struggles. That Back-Draft will be their own downfall in the end. Join back with us or rest in pieces. If you choose the ladder, I can just decapitate you and we can be on our way."

"You should reconsider." Says Ara, Walking over to them with an unconscious Noel on her back, "Sure. Being evil makes you powerful, But in exchange for something you can't get back no matter how much you try: Your Soul. Why would you want to go back to something that is a lost cause by now? You see it right in front of you, Yet you turn your back on it. Why?" She continues to step forth, "You won't get very far. Your Minions," She points at Midnight, Auron and Cupcake Chaos all three frozen by Silver's Ice, "Your Minions no longer have the desire to be evil any longer. What motivated you to turn on us, Hmm?"

Moonlight Havoc looked up at the High Density Orb, "An Inner Voice. Some one was in my mind, whispering the very factor behind turning against this thing called Harmony's Light. Peace? How long will it last?! How long will it go on before Darkness once again swallows it whole?! In time, You'll see that I was right. You'll ALL see that I was right. Peace and Harmony beget only one thing: Chaos. Chaos begets Sadness. Death. Disaster. Tragedy. If my reasons for being evil are no longer valid, I don't care about that anymore! All of this will come to pass and when it does, You will all only know grief. Despair and betrayal. Do you think you can prove me wrong? To bend the will of discord and kill the chaos that so discords us, We must all walk our own path."

Azel takes over, "An Inner Voice told you all of this nonsense?! Whose voice, Your own?! I say kill him. This has gone on long enough."

Moonlight Havoc stares at death in the face, "...If you don't believe me then just kill me. I would rather be seen as a villain that stayed until death than a psychopath with mind hallucinations. We are after all just mere chess pieces in this cruel game of Chaos."

Katziel disperses his magic, "I am a stallion of honor. I will not kill what cannot fight back. However. You will need to reconsider the poor decisions you have before you make them. Leave and do not return. We have wasted enough time with you."

Sorrow steps forth, "Allow me to send them off. The rest of you, catch up with the others."

Katziel turns to Sorrow, "As you will. We will leave their fate in your capable hooves." He then begins heading towards Area 11 with Azel/Ara and Wrath.

Sorrow glows her horn and surrounds Moonlight Havoc as well as his minions in a warm aurora of blue light. The warmth whisks them off and away to a peaceful area called: Pony Haven at an extreme light speed. (Pony Haven will be revealed in Episode 93)

[Aegis Empire ~ Area 15]

The Queen as well as the Princesses are all wounded and tired from fighting...

Emperor Aegis: "You are all now my lowly damsels in distress. I hope this makes it all the more worth you all shutting those mouths of yours. You can't defeat me. Your powers are all limited here! Capture them and lock them away in chains. I will hold their execution shortly."

Imperial Pony: "Sire, S-Security Breach! A huge Stampede of Ponies has broken through areas 1-10 and are now heading for Area 11 where the Gaia Cannon is located. It's not done charging yet from the last cancellation!"

Emperor Aegis: "WHHAAAAAT?! GET YOUR LAZY HIDES BACK OVER THERE AND PROTECT THE GAIA CANNON! If they shut that Gaia Cannon down, My Plans. My Beautiful Ambitions. They will all be in Shambles...AND HEADS WILL ROLL!!"

Emperor Aegis: "Where are all of my Elites?! My Majors! My Imperial Squad Captains and Judges?! Where are my OFFICERS?! Where is Tenebrae? Lumin? Ignis? Tomitrius? Pulse?"

Imperial Pony: "Sire, Lumin has defected to the ponies and is aiding them. Tenebrae, Ignis and Tomitrius returned to the Resurrection Altar after being killed in battle. The Retzor eyes grant them immortality. No matter how many times they die, They will always return here and be able to have their revenge. The Ponies will be fighting up against a serious lost cause. Lumin refused the Retzor eye. As for Pulse, He is dead."


Emperor Aegis: "...Send out the Magic Reflectors. And while you're at it, Send my best in the imperial class ranks to go up against those ponies. THOSE PONIES WILL RUE THE DAY!!"

[Aegis Empire ~ Dungeons]
Queen Royal-Cloud looked around. Magic Reflectors shined brightly along the steel bars so firing magic at the bars would only send the magic back at the caster. In each of the cells, There was some sort of code written on the wall by the ancients.
It was written in numerical encrypted script so it was hard to understand.
On the wayside, Just outside of each of the cells there stood multiples of Imperial Ponies watching carefully and waiting to strike should the princesses find a way to escape.
